Hi Everyone,
Today Mr. Chomitz took over our class and gave everyone a lesson in "What is Science". There was no homework! I also handed back our last quizzes, don't despair if it didn't go as planned, lots of class left! If you notice an addition error or something please let me know. Hi Everyone,
Today is our Unit 1 quiz. Pay careful attention to the instructions. You may also hand in problem set #1 (+1 bonus mark if handed in today). Official due date for the problem set is next Tuesday. Good luck! Mr. Stevens Hi Gang,
Today we are finishing off the notes pack for unit one. I have assigned problem set 1. If you hand it in next class you will receive a bonus mark on your quiz. Otherwise, the problem set is due next Monday. Don't forget, Quiz next day! Mr. Stevens Welcome back!
Today we will recap the sig-fig rules we learned last class, then spend the rest of our time practicing formula manipulation (it will be a handy tool!). Next class we will work on metric conversions and/or graphing. Our first quiz on this introductory unit will be next Wednesday, September 18 and will cover everything in your unit 1 package. Good morning physics classes!
Today we will go over the basics of our significant figure rules. I know for some of you this will be a review (and not a very exciting one at that), but stay with us as this is a skill you'll need to carry with you the entire year. We will complete up to page 6 in our notes package (or try to at least). Our third period class will have a brief chat on safety since we missed it last class due to an assembly. Welcome back physics nerds! Thanks for your t.v watching suggestions! You all have very good taste.
Anyhow, today we're doing our mandatory mini-lesson on safety. Thankfully, the physics lab isn't quite as terrifying as chemistry (at least not in high school). If we have time we will begin our notes on unit one which is on measurement, math, and graphing. We won't charge too far into it as our poor third block class will miss most of the lesson due to an assembly. Have a great weekend! Mr. Stevens Welcome to physics class everyone! I am very excited to work with you all (well not so much those of you taking this class thinking it was psychology, but we'll figure it out) Since it is our first class back we will take it pretty easy. We will go over the class outline (what you're going to learn, how you're marked, textbooks). We'll also be having a quiz...don't worry it isn't for marks!
Hi Everyone, Here is some practice for electricity
Hi everyone!
Welcome to Playland! Here is the link to your assignment. Good luck and have fun! Remember! Groups of 3 are acceptable. Do your best to fill in as much as possible. Mr. Stevens |
